This evening I received a phone call from the art coordinator for the photography show at Coquille Valley Hospital. She said my Morning Reflections framed photograph sold! The show has been ongoing since November 1st, 2011. It continues through February 28, 2012. I have six framed pieces in the show. This has been my first sale at the show. She also asked me if I wanted to bring another to replace it and if I’d be willing to keep my work up another month. The hospital is currently under construction for a new hospital. She didn’t want to begin a new show because they will soon be moving. Its really perfect timing for this as I don’t have any shows in March.
She told me the story about the woman who purchased it. Evidently, the woman’s husband is a patient in the hospital. She said that the woman kept looking at the photograph and found it so peaceful. I am happy that my artwork gave her a sense of peace while she deals with her husband’s medical issues. This makes it very special for me. I’m glad that it will be hanging in her home.

Congratulations Patricia! That is great. Isn’t it nice to know why someone bought your work? It is such a good feeling knowing that you “connected” with someone.
