On April 11th, hubby and I went to The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm near Woodburn, Oregon during their annual Tulip Festival. The festival runs from March 25th through April 25th. This is a fun place to go and take in their events and photograph their gorgeous fields. We arrived when the gates opened at 9:00 a.m, there were already photographers in various positions all over the fields taking advantage of the lighter crowds.
I shot over a hundred photos of the fields and individual flowers. I scarcely had enough time to take advantage of the different lighting situations throughout the day. I only had an hour there due to other family commitments.
I definitely plan to make this festival each year. Next year I will plan a whole weekend of staying in the Woodburn area, and spending a lot more time in their beautiful tulip fields.
